Day 3 - Jakarta - Bandung
|
|
After breakfast of yummy porridge, we left for Bandung with Teh Jehan, her husband and their cute son, Arqa. Bandung was about 2 hours drive away from Jakarta. It was also quite chilly there as according to Dinna, it was situated between two hills.
Our tourist guide in Bandung is Puteri, another cousin of Dinna. We first went to Pasar Baru. If I were to compare it with any place in Malaysia, I would say it is like Pasar Payang in Terengganu. They sell alot of local stuffs and you could bargain for the best price. Then we went to eat the best cendol in the world (as claimed by Dinna). To me, it is comparable to the ones we have in Malaysia. The different is they included avocado in it. 
Then we went to factory outlets in Riau. Amazingly, I was not in the mood for shopping so I just sat there while waiting for them. One of my friends from the good old days, Fawzi, happens to study medicine in Bandung. So he joined us for dinner at Bandung walk. It was great to meet an old friends. Reminds me of my younger self
